Distribution : Sweet Acacia originates from North and Central American tropics and subtropics, South USA, North Mexico where it is known as “Huisache”.  North Africa, Sahel, East Africa, Arabian Peninsula, Pakistan, India, Australia

 

Color/appearance : The sapwood is yellowish and the heartwood is red-brown
