Common names: Leopardwood, Bois bandé.

 

Distribution : Mexico, Central America, Trinidad-and-Tobago, South America.

 

Color/appearance : Has a very conspicuous flecking that gives this wood its namesake. The wood itself is a medium to dark reddish brown with grey or light brown rays.
